Blogging and Deep
Linking
Linking
from your blog will not get you banned
or penalized by search engines. Having
links on blogs has value in it's self but the main reason
is to build value with search engines so you can get a
fist page, high
ranking for keywords or keyword
phrases.
Billions of
searches are done each month, to get your share of that free
targeted advertising you need to apply internet marketing
strategies that are known to work to produce consistent
results.
To get your
part of this targeted, free search engine traffic you need
links to your site. Google is not the only search engine but it
is a good one to use as a model. If you can make it to the top
page of Google then you can do it for the other search engines.
Google loves blogs and will visit yours
often.
Focus on
having good content and, building links to your site. Don’t
build your links too fast, otherwise you may get banned and not
even be able to find your site using your company name, that is
not good. Practice moderation and work on creating a mixture of
links from blogs, directories, links from writing article that
people post on their sites and exchanging
links.
Blogs are a
great search engine optimization tool. Every time you make a
post put a link at the bottom of your post to a page deep in
your site. This allows you to deep link. Every time you deep
link, this helps your entire site, since sub directories can be
seen as different sites that your root folder of your
website.
If your
blog is hosted on your server within your site, then every time
you post a page, you are adding a page to your
website.
Think of
your blog like a beacon to the search engines. Every time you
make a post ping your blog with a service like Ping-O-Matic, to
let them know you have fresh content. The engines will visit
your blog and follow the link at the bottom of your post to
index pages deep in your site.
When
writing to your blog keyword density is important if you want
to rank for a term a keyword. Use it in your post at least 4 to
6 times for every post. Keep on topic and use your keyword in
the header tags or headlines.
